ABOUT
My story began in the world's most forested country, Suriname, where I'm born & raised.
Eleven years ago, my creative expressions took the form of photography. For a while, that flame was dimmed. Now it burns again.
My life has been shaped by movement, not just across borders but inwards too. My work is rooted in deep listening: to the land, to the stories carved in people’s faces, and to the silences in between. I'm naturally drawn to moments that do not scream to be captured. "Ichigo Ichie" moments.
Through photography and writing, I document what it means to be alive without holding anything back. Love and grief. Solitude and connection. The sacred and the mundane.
In my free time, when I'm not immersed in my craft, you can find me in the role of CRO (Chief Relaxation Officer). Or on a mission to try new specialty coffee cafés.
