My story began in the world's most forested country, Suriname, where I'm born & raised. ​

Eleven years ago, my creative expressions took the form of photography. For a while, that flame was dimmed. Now it burns again.

​My life has been shaped by movement, not just across borders but inwards too. My work is rooted in deep listening: to the land, to the stories carved in people’s faces, and to the silences in between. I'm naturally drawn to moments that do not scream to be captured. "Ichigo Ichie" moments.​

Through photography and writing, I document what it means to be alive without holding anything back. Love and grief. Solitude and connection. The sacred and the mundane. ​​​

In my free time, when I'm not immersed in my craft, you can find me in the role of CRO (Chief Relaxation Officer). Or on a mission to try new specialty coffee cafés.
